I. Main Roles & Responsibilities
- Research, develop, and test new bakery & dessert recipesthat meet customer trends, cost targets, and operational requirements.
- Create and standardize recipes, SOPs, and product specifications to ensure consistency and scalability.
- Collaborate with suppliers to source new raw materials, ingredients, and packaging; assess quality and suitability for production.
- Work with factories/manufacturers to conduct pilot runs, scale-up production, and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Monitor market trends, consumer insights, and competitor productsto propose innovative ideas.
- Evaluate product shelf life, sensory attributes, and compliance with food safety & regulatory standards.
- Support cost optimization while maintaining product quality and brand positioning.
II. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Culinary Arts, Baking & Pastry, Food Science or related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in bakery, dessert, or food product development (coffee chains, convenience store products preferred).
- Strong knowledge of ingredients, raw materials, and suppliers in bakery & dessert
- Practical skills in recipe formulation, baking techniques, SOP development.
- Experience working with factories, production lines, and pilot testing.
- Good understanding of food safety regulations (HACCP, ISO, etc.).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office / Google Suite; basic knowledge of data analysis tools is a plus.
- Passion for bakery & dessert product development.
- Creativity combined with practical, commercial thinking.
- Strong communication and cross-team collaboration skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive in managing multiple projects.
- Adaptable to fast-paced, dynamic environments.
