I. JOB SUMMARY
Be responsible for end-to-end merchandising activities for Food categories including Dry Grocery, Snack & Confectionery, Beverage, Fresh, Chilled and Frozen products. Manage supplier sourcing, negotiation, assortment planning, pricing, promotion and inventory control to ensure product availability, freshness, sales performance and optimal profit margins. Work closely with suppliers, stores and internal stakeholders to drive category growth and operational efficiency.
II. MAIN ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Search for, evaluate and develop new suppliers and products within Food categories.

Negotiate commercial terms including pricing, promotions, rebates, listing fees and contract conditions.

Prepare, summarize and report negotiation results; participate in internal meetings and discussions.

Analyze supplier and category performance including sales, margins, rebates, stock rotation and shrinkage.

Conduct assortment planning, floor planning, zoning, layout and planogram execution for Food categories.

Control product assortment, variation, replacement and shelf presentation to optimize category performance.

Conduct regular store visits to monitor merchandising execution, product quality and freshness.

Plan, execute and monitor sales promotion programs aligned with seasonality and category strategy.

Coordinate and communicate merchandising plans, promotions and updates with relevant departments.

Provide reference, guidance and practical support related to Food category operations.

Perform other tasks as assigned by Line Manager.
III. REQUIREMENTS
Education and Knowledge
-
Graduated from College/University in relevant fields.
-
Good understanding of FMCG market, especially Food categories.
Experience
-
Minimum 02 years of experience in Merchandising / Purchasing / Buyer roles within Supermarket, Convenience Store or Retail chains.

Experience handling Food, Fresh, Chilled or FMCG categories is a strong advantage.
Skills and Abilities

Strong supplier sourcing, negotiation and analytical skills.

Proactive mindset with willingness to explore new products and categories.

Good communication and coordination skills with internal teams, stores and suppliers.

Ability to work independently with high responsibility and ownership.
