I. MAIN ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Development & Category Management

  • Lead the development of new products and continuous improvement of existing items to align with market demand and business strategy
  • Collaborate with manufacturers and suppliers to research, test, and commercialize new concepts
  • Identify and source differentiated and proprietary products to strengthen competitive advantage

Procurement & Cost Management

  • Manage sourcing and procurement of Food Service items and raw materials across all categories
  • Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and supply conditions to optimize cost and maximize gross profit
  • Continuously identify opportunities for cost reduction while maintaining product quality

Quality Assurance & Food Safety

  • Ensure all products meet required standards in quality, quantity, and specifications
  • Monitor and enforce food safety and hygiene compliance across suppliers and production processes
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to address quality issues and drive continuous improvement

Supplier Management & Sourcing Strategy

  • Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with suppliers and business partners
  • Conduct supplier evaluation, competitive bidding, and sourcing processes in a structured and transparent manner
  • Monitor supplier performance and implement improvement plans when necessary

Market Analysis & Business Planning

  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks
  • Provide market insights and forecasts to support management decision-making
  • Stay updated on food trends, particularly Korean food culture, to drive innovation and category growth

Inventory & Performance Monitoring

  • Monitor stock movement, product performance, and lifecycle
  • Propose pricing adjustments, promotions, and clearance strategies to optimize inventory and sales performance

Others

  • Perform other tasks as assigned by Line Manager

 

II. REQUIREMENTS

1. Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Food Technology, Supply Chain, or related fields
  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in merchandising, category management, or procurement within F&B, retail
  • Proven experience in fresh food, food service, or related categories is highly preferred
  • Experience working with suppliers/manufacturers and managing end-to-end product lifecycle

2. Professional Skills

  • Strong product development and category management capabilities
  • Solid negotiation and procurement skills with a strong cost control mindset
  • Good understanding of food safety, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Experience in supplier sourcing, evaluation, and performance management
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market trends and business data
  • Experience in inventory management and sales performance optimization

3. Soft Skills

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Leadership and team collaboration abilities
  • Proactive, result-oriented, and able to work under pressure
  • High sense of ownership and accountability

4. Others

  • Willing to work in a fast-paced retail/F&B environment
